SUMMARY:

LSM add-on is for the test/service core labs that helps from performing tests, adding parameters, to generating reports and invoices. LSMRemote is a remote portal used by clients who receive samples from patients and pass it on to test labs for testing. LSMRemote now offers to upload multiple jobs with the help of CSV. This can make life easier when the providers/requesters have multiple jobs to add per day.

To upload multiple jobs, please follow the below steps.
1. Prepare a CSV

2. Uploading the CSV

Warning
The CSV import option DOES NOT work when you have to add one job with multiple samples and the config.ini in LSMRemote (Only superadmin can access config.ini) shows the below option true.

1. Prepare a CSV

Note
Import CSV option is only to add One Job with one sample only.
  • Go to LSMRemote and under Submit order you can download the CSV template you will need to prepare to import jobs.
  • 1. Click on submit order option, which allows you to create jobs.
  • 2. Click on Import CSV option.
  • 3. “Order” allows you add one job at a time.
  • 4. Click on the “Get CSV headers” option, after which the CSV with all column names will be downloaded.
  • 5. CSV delimiter, should be used while uploading the CSV file and you should know the delimiter for your file.
*You can know this when you save the csv and choose the type.
  • 6. Test delimiter is used when you want to add many tests for a sample. You can separate 2 test name by a pipe sign.
  • 7. You can click on the test list to copy the name of the test and paste it in your CSV.
  • 8. You can click on the CSV header list and download the template of CSV.
  • 9. Once your CSV is ready you can upload it here.
  • The CSV will contain 3 things from your online instance:
    • Job level parameters
    • Sample level parameters
    • Patient module fields
  • You can even remove the columns that you don’t need to clean the CSV file.
  • Be Careful note
*You need to keep the columns that are mandatory in: (the mandatory columns will asterisk* on the top)
    – Patient module
    – Job parameters
    – Sample parameters
*The values for a ‘select list‘ fields should match the ones already present in LabCollector. For example, if the Gender in Patient custom module is either F, M or U then the values should be one of these and not Female, Male or Unknown.
*While creating test in LSM the sample type is often defined. Hence, only the tests defined for the sample type should be added. Generally you can check in LSMRemote which tests are greyed out for the sample type you choose.
*The secondary requesters can be added with a comma in between and you need to just use the requester name.
*The date format you add in CSV will be changed by the LabCollector format that you set by going to Admin->Setup->Date format
  • To the CSV file you can add the information as needed.

2. Uploading the CSV

  • Once your CSV is uploaded, you need to select the
    • Main Requester
    • Delimiter of your CSV
  • Once you upload your CSV, it will show this sign once the CSV is uploaded.

  • Warning
If you encounter, error, that means some error with your CSV file, carefully check if you have added all the mandatory fields correctly, field types correctly.
  • To check if the jobs are added, go to the option “Get results” in LSMRemote and you will the jobs you have added.
  • Jobs seen in the above image are quoted, as the “Allow quote” option in config.ini for the LSMRemote is ON. If that option is not ON then the jobs will be seen in requested status.
*Please read our knowledgebase how to configure LSMRemote options for more information.
  • You can also check in LSM add-on and you will the jobs created there.
