In samples modules, you have an option to directly scan the barcode of the sample package, which will automatically create a list of records for the package. You will have the option to enter the comments and description, process status, operator, type, and date for the package.
    * Check our knowledgeBase on how to search in LabCollector.
  • 2. The   options allow you to export all your search results in HTML, CSV, EXCEL, PDF format. You can also select the field that you want to export.
Read our KnowledgeBase on what are fields and records.
The option allows you to memorize all records that can be used further in LabCollector.
  • 3.  The records won’t generally show at first. You need to click on the search icon with an empty search field and you will be able to see all the records.

This is to create a derived (like child) sample. Sometimes we use the same sample for various tests. hence the main sample becomes parent sample and the aliquots become a child or derived samples.
This icon will show you all the processes and their status related to the sample. For example, if the sample is going through the HPLC process then it will be visible here.

You can see the analysis tab here. This can show you the analysis value over days or hours. For example growth rate for a bacterial sample. You can add your choice of custom fields here.
*Read our knowledgeBase on how to add custom fields in the analysis tab.

This option allows you to add any activity performed on the record. it helps to keep track of the changes done to the record and can help in compliancy.

This icon shows reagent and ordering info related to the record. You can associate the record to a new or an already existing reagent.
Photobank is an add-on in LabCollector. You can link for example the strains & cells images and view them under this option.
You can link the sample to the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN is an add-on in LabCollector). You can link the record to a particular experiment that has been performed using the record item. This helps you have a link to where the record item was utilized and the results obtained thereafter.
This icon connects you to the Workflow (WF) add-on in LabCollector. WF add-on is the one where you can make a flowchart of your process where each step requires supervisor validation. If the record is being used in a WF add-on then you will be able to see its status in WF here.
If the sample is being used in the Lab Service Management (LSM) add-on then the status of the sample in LSM will be shown here.
