How to create and set alerts for tubes? (v6.0)

LabCollector allows you to create alerts for tubes in the storage.
You can create tubes of reagents or any other strains and mark them for an alert whenever they reach minimum quantity or when they are getting expired. 
This helps you to know when you need to order the reagents or strains tubes or make new ones for you use.
You can start the alert by following the below steps.

1. Activating alerts for tubes

NOTE: For creating the alerts you need to activate the alert option in Preferences–>Alerts

Once you activate these alerts you will see them in the LabCollector alerts section.


2. Creating alerts for tubes

To create alerts for the tube you can create Main/Secondary storage for tubes OR edit the existing storage. 

Once you click on the storage option, you will see a pop-up in which you will need to enter 2 things:-

  1. Amount of the minimum number of tubes
  2. A minimum number of days for the alert before the expiration date of tubes.

    This option allows you to enter the minimum quantity of tubes for the alert. For example, we put 2 is the minimum amount for the alert.

    It will be seen under the LabCollector alert section, like in the first image.
    When you click on the alert you will see the list of items that have reached the minimum quantity

This option allows you to enter a number of days you want the alert for, before the expiration date. For example, we put 5 days.

It will be seen under the LabCollector alert section, like in the first image.
When you click on the alert you will see the list of items that are about to expire or are expired.
