How to export search results

SUMMARY:

Each module in LabCollector provides you an option to export data. After conducting a search for results in LabCollector, the search can be exported in several formats.

There are several options for exporting search results:
1. Standard export
2. Maintenance export
3. Export models 
4. Automatic export

1. STANDARD EXPORT

  • In each module, after a search you can export all your data.  Use the icon on the top right of the record list.

  • When you click on the icon this window opens.
  • 1. Choose between HTML, CSV, XML, Excel and PDF format in the select list. 
  • 2. Choose fields that you want to export by drag and drop or using the buttons Add All and Remove All.
  • 3. Export your list.
  • You can also choose an export model if created in the select list. See below. 


2. MAINTENANCE EXPORT

  • In equipment module, after a search, you can export all the maintenance data for all the equipment. Use the icon on the top right of the record list.

  • The same window as for standard export opens with fields in Maintenance tab.
  • You can also export maintenance records for each piece of equipment. Go to maintenance tab of the equipment, and on the top right, use the export icon.

3. EXPORT MODELS

Only for super-administrator.

  • Go to ADMIN -> SETUP -> EXPORT SETUP AND MODELS
  • You can here create models that can be created to export data from the different modules.

1. Give a name to your model and save it by clicking the green button

2. Choose between HTML, CSV, XML, Excel and PDF format in the select list
3. Choose the module where you want to create the export model
4. Choose fields that you want to export by drag and drop or using the buttons Add All and Remove All.
5. If you need to modify a model, use this button to load the saved model.

  • Once the model is saved you will see this option. You can use these models to export your result search in each module. 

4. AUTOMATIC EXPORT

Note

Only for super-administrator.

  • You have the possibility to automatically export the search result. Follow these few steps .

    Go to ADMIN -> SETUP -> PROXY, TASKS SCHEDULER AND EMAIL

    1. Give a name to your automatic task
    2. Chose a task frequency between Daily/Weekly/Monthly and a task time
    3. Choose the module of your choice in the list
    4. If you want to use a model (see above), choose it from the list
    5. Choose from the list which records you want to automatically export each time:
       – all records,
       – new and updated records,
       – new records only, 
       – updated records only
    6. Select an email to receive the export file

  • You can setup as many automatic exports as you want.  An automatic export can be ended with the bin icon.
