How to use text editor to create a report template in LSM?
SUMMARY:
Lab Service Manager (LSM) add-on is the perfect application for service core & test labs.
You can read more about LSM on our Blog. The requesters (clinics or institutes collecting samples) can submit orders to service test labs to perform tests on samples using the LabCollector add-on. You can create different parameters for jobs(test-orders), sample information, tests (protocol, reagents, equipment, input/processing/result-parameters), and configure your job according to your requirements. You can also create templates for your reports such as results, invoices, Chain of Custody (CoC).

Follow the steps below to use to create :-
1. Report in LSM template editing options
2. Report for test results
3. Report for Invoice
4. Report for CoC
1. Report in LSM template editing options
- To create a report template in LSM add-on go to ADMIN -> PREFERENCES -> REPORT & INVOICE TEMPLATE -> CREATE A NEW TEMPLATE
- You can create a template using the below options.

It is the “Undo” (Ctrl+Z) & “Redo” option (Ctrl+Z). |

It is the “cut” option, the same as Ctrl+V. This option is greyed out and will be active only when you select the text. |

It is the “copy” option, the same as Ctrl+C. This option is greyed out and will be active only when you select the text. |

It is the “copy as plain text” option, the same as Ctrl+Shift+V. |

It is “paste from word” meaning the text will be in the same format as in the word document. |

To create tables.
If users need to import tables, they can use copy/paste but we don’t recommend it. It’s better to create a new one and fill results manually. Press the table button on the toolbar. The Table Properties dialog window that will open lets you set configuration options that define table size, its display properties, or other advanced properties. Below is an overview of all Table Properties tab elements: Note: 1 pixel (px) is approximatively equal to 0.30 millimeter (mm). |

To create a div container (HTML) that allows you to add classes to the text.
You can give various styles to your report elements like tables, images, column, etc. using html. For beginners, please see this link for how to use html. |

Add a link to a text or remove the link from a text. |

o do a preview of how your content looks like. By clicking on this another page will open showing the content you have written. |

The LSM uses HTML editing, so by viewing the page’s HTML or source code, you can see how elements on the page are handled as well as paths to the page’s images or other features.

CKEditor is a WYSIWYG rich text editor which enables writing content directly inside of web pages or online applications. |
2. Report for test results
- You can perform tests in LSM and create reports using out LSM add-on.

- LSM allows you to mange your costs and help create invoice that can be send to your clients.

4. Report for CoCs (Chain of Custody)
- Chain of Custody report helps to follow the sample.
- If the job is submitted via LSMRemote than the CoC can help track the delivery of the samples.
