When using a LIMS with a lot of data, being able to find what you’re looking for quickly is a must. To facilitate the search for specific information, LabCollector has integrated the Elasticsearch tool. Thanks to this integration, searching for data within LabCollector is greatly simplified. An add-on, Advanced Search Manager, has been developed to allow its use and the management of the tool’s parameters. Elasticsearch can be installed on the same server as LabCollector or on a dedicated server/VM or even use an Elasticsearch cloud service (AWS, ElastiCloud…). The Elasticsearch tool receives unstructured data from various locations, stores and indexes it, according to a user-specified mapping (which can also be derived automatically from the data) and makes it searchable. Initially made available on ELN, Elasticsearch’s advanced search will eventually be extended to the entire LabCollector. Integrate Elasticsearch into LabCollector to enhance search functionality!

  • Time saving
  • Improved search functionality
  • Better organization
  • Management of a large amount of data
  • Flexible hosting
  • Tag management
