LDAP/AD and SSO


LDAP/AD (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol/Active Directory) and SSO (Single Sign-On) are features that enable users to log in to LabCollector using their existing corporate login credentials, such as their Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP account. This helps to simplify the login process and provides an additional layer of security.

LabCollector LIMS offers LDAP/AD and SSO as optional security features. When enabled, users can log into our LIMS using their existing corporate login credentials, eliminating the need to create a separate username and password. This can help to reduce the risk of password fatigue and increase user adoption.

For example, if your laboratory already uses LDAP/AD for user authentication, enabling LDAP/AD integration in LabCollector can simplify the login process for your laboratory staff. Similarly, if your laboratory uses SSO for authentication across multiple applications, enabling SSO integration with LabCollector can help to ensure a consistent and streamlined user experience.
