Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

You can now save and manage your experimental results using our ELN module. Designed as a collaborative platform, it allows you to create experiment books and share them with your lab colleagues. The system is highly versatile, offering workflow creation based on predefined templates. Use workflow and page templates for routine procedures, or opt for free‑form, flexible entries to document your research activities.

Experimental data is organized across three hierarchical levels, displayed through a tree‑like browser that supports fast keyword‑based searching. The ELN also includes integrated certificate management and digital signature functionality for secure content validation.


Lab Services Management (LSM)

This module enables laboratories to efficiently track client samples, group them into jobs with associated workflows or task lists, manage plates, and generate or export data into detailed reports. It also maintains a complete service history for billing and administrative purposes.

Designed to be highly adaptable, the module can support virtually any type of laboratory service or core facility, including analytical testing, microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology, and more.

Data Logger (also called lclogger)

This add‑on centralizes temperature, pressure, humidity, and other sensor readings over time. It supports automatic data import from network-connected loggers, ensuring continuous and reliable monitoring. All temperature data is stored and displayed through intuitive graphical charts, and LabCollector samples can be easily linked to the corresponding temperature profiles.

For safety and compliance, the system also offers GSM/SMS and email notifications to alert users instantly whenever a parameter exceeds threshold limits.


Workflow Manager

This module enables the management of workflow templates, serving as a catalog of predefined job workflows that can be used to initiate new jobs quickly and consistently. All created jobs are stored, and their status and progress can be monitored in real time. Step‑by‑step validation is supported, ensuring proper execution and traceability.

Each workflow step can be linked to corresponding LabCollector data modules, allowing structured record storage, editing, and seamless integration within the LabCollector environment.


Photobank

This module provides an efficient way to store, organize, and manage all project‑related images—such as microscopy photos, electrophoresis gels, animal studies, and more. You can create an unlimited number of galleries and categories, upload multiple photos at once, and add comments for better context and documentation.

The module supports a wide range of file formats, including TIFF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and video files. It also allows the definition of custom media formats, making it suitable for archiving raw image data of any type. Images can be linked directly to LabCollector samples for seamless integration within your workflows.

Events Calendar

This add‑on module introduces a full calendar system into the LabCollector LIMS. Each user can create and share multiple calendars to manage events, tasks, or project milestones. A general shared calendar is available to all lab members for common or global events, and events can also be set as recurrent.

Calendar sharing is managed on a per‑user basis, enabling the creation of groups organized around specific projects or teams. All events can be linked to existing LabCollector records, making it easy to schedule and track activities related to biological or laboratory procedures (e.g., blood sampling for patients or animals).


Scheduler

This add‑on is built on our LabCalendar equipment scheduling system and extends it directly into the LabCollector LIMS. It adds a full scheduling and reservation calendar for all equipment stored in LabCollector, allowing users to quickly view availability and create reservations for any instrument or facility in the lab. Recurrent events are supported (e.g., daily reservations or specific days of the week).

The module also includes a reporting tool that provides detailed statistics on equipment usage—past or upcoming—filtered by user, by equipment, or by category. This helps laboratories optimize resource allocation and monitor facility utilization.


Aquarium

This module is a complete animal facility management system specifically designed for fish growth and transgenesis. It allows you to manage all aspects of aquatic colony operations, including fish entries, transfers, and exits from tanks; growth monitoring; feeding schedules (including live‑food production); and customizable, unlimited alerts.

The system provides full inventory tracking as well as multiple reporting options to support facility oversight and compliance. It is suitable for managing all types of aquatic species, including mutant and transgenic lines. Seamless integration with the LabCollector LIMS ensures consistent data flow across the platform. Notably, this was our first fully multilingual module.


Plants Manager

This module enables laboratories to efficiently manage seeds and monitor plant growth, including complete tray management. All seed generations are fully tracked, ensuring clear lineage and traceability throughout propagation cycles. The system includes barcode support for fast identification and storage management, as well as intuitive navigation through plant generations.


Protein Tracking System (PTS)

This module is a protein production management system. Integrated into LabCollector PTS allows the lab to follow up different process and task progression in several projects. Users can follow all steps of protein production, purification, analysis...


Gantty Project Manager

This module is a web-based solution which allows following up your projects, allocating and following up your project members and resources. It is suitable for research projects and company projects. This add-on is fully integrated with LabCollector, the LIMS we developed for life science research labs, Pharma and biotech industries.



SNP Manager

This module allows the management of typical workflow for SNP genotyping labs. It includes assays vials storage and retrieving (pick lists) using machine pickers, preparing plates for Fluidigm EP1, re-ordering of assays to suppliers, etc.


QueryBuilder

This add-on is a visual database query builder to create custom data reports/exports. It follows relations between modules. You can design any type of query with filters to extract part or total of your record relations. You can save queries for later reuse for regular reporting. Reports can be sent to Excel.


Parser

Parser provides file parsing anywhere using shared folders (local or cloud). Selected values can be automatically imported into LabCollector. Users may defined reader models (templates) within the interface. Only a few details about the input files and where the data will go in LabCollector are required.


Central Store Manager

This application allows administrative department manager to have access to all the purchase lists form the different instances of LabCollector on the enterprise server. The Purchase Orders Manager will help you to manage the order lists, the reagents, chemicals and supplies but also sellers contact details.

eLabels Manager

This module allows you to create templates for electronic labels (eLabels) which can be used to indicate the availability of a room or an equipment, the price of a product, or the content of an animal cage.


Advanced/Elastic Search


Training Management

This add-on allows you to create formations and trainings to assign at your LabCollector users. Thanks to it, you can block some functionalities or the use of some equipment if a user is not authorized to use them.


 Weight Tracker (WT)

This add-on allows to follow the weight of one of your reactive (from Reagents & Supplies module) trough custom fields of one of your LabCollector Module.


Tests Plan Manager


Tube Sorter (Freemium)

This add-on helps you recover dispatched samples on storage and placing them on a working tray. It generates a pick list automatically and the necessary instruction files for the tube sorter robot (Micronic/BioMicroLab, etc). Join the scanner and tube sorter to really improve your efficiency in recovering samples in quantity. The module also generates Fluidigm EP1 files.


LabGraphs & Reports (Freemium)

This module allows you to to display graphs and reports based on your LabCollector data. You can create a graph showing the evolution of your samples for example, or create a report using a query from Query Builder add-on.


Sample2Box (Free)

This add-on allows to sequentially populate plates or boxes from single vial tubes. Just read tube/vial barcode to automatically insert in a new plate/box map.
