HTTPS


HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) is a security feature that encrypts the communication between a user's web browser and the web server hosting the LabCollector LIMS application. This helps to protect sensitive laboratory data from interception or tampering by attackers.

LabCollector offers HTTPS as a standard security feature. When enabled, all communication between the user's web browser and the web server hosting our software is encrypted using SSL/TLS encryption. This helps to ensure that sensitive laboratory data is protected in transit.

For example, if a laboratory staff member is accessing LabCollector over an unsecured public Wi-Fi network, HTTPS can help to protect their login credentials and any sensitive laboratory data that is transmitted between their browser and the software.
