SUMMARY:

You can create a package and plate it in the sample receiving add-on. This helps labs who receive 100’s of samples every day to test.

The sample receiving add-on provides you an option to automatically create samples and store them directly in the predefined module.

Follow the steps below to register a package in the sample receiving add-on:-

1. Configure the project code setting

2. Create or scan a new package & process it

3. View the samples in the designated module

1. Configure the project code setting

  • When you go to sample receiving add-on you can configure settings for a specific project by going to SAMPLE RECEIVING ADD-ON -> SETTINGS.
    * Check our KB on how to configure a project (part B)
  • Under the “naming conventions,” you can choose how you want your samples to be named in your choice of module.
For example, like below for a project named “Aspirin” the choice of module is “samples” and the naming sample pattern is the same as the barcode.
Save the setup once you configure the settings.
  • Once you save the settings you can now create a package for this project.

2. Create or scan a new package & process it

3. View the samples in the designated module

  • Save the plate above.
  • Once you save, go to the module you chose in the configuration setting in section 1 above.
  • Above we choose “samples” module and you will see the samples  in the sample module (sort the results by ‘DESC’ order.)
  • When you click on the name of the sample you can see the storage location.
