SUMMARY:

Lab Service Manager (LSM) add-on is the perfect application for service core & test labs.

You can read more about LSM on our Blog.  The requesters (clinics or institutes collecting samples) can submit orders to service test labs to perform tests on samples using the LabCollector add-on. You can create different parameters for jobs(test-orders), sample information, tests (protocol, reagents, equipment, input/processing/result-parameters), and configure your job according to your requirements. You can also create templates for your reports such as results, invoices, Chain of Custody (CoC).

*Please see our KB to see how to start with LSM add-on.

Follow the steps below to use LSMRemote for:-

1. Token Generation

2. View report using the token

1. Activating the token option
2. Adding other security options than token number
3. Separating the Customers & Report direct access login page
4. Different report options

1. Token Generation

  • LSMRemote can be used by requesters (such as clinics, hospitals, sample collection labs, etc.) to create jobs (tests) for the samples that they are receiving.
  • As LSMRemote is connected to LSM (Lab Service Manager) add-on in LabCollector, the jobs are passed automatically into LSM add-on from LSMRemote.
  • LSMRemote generates automatically a token for each sample registered in the Job.
  • This token can be further used by clients or patients, to access their report directly online.(explained below in detail)
  • Please check our KB to see how to register, login and use other options in LSMRemote.
  • Read more about LSMRemote and how to use it in our KB.
  • When a job is created in LSMRemote and submitted, a Chain of Custody (CoC) report is generated automatically.
*NOTE: You can create a CoC template in the LSM add-on, and the same template will be utilized in LSMRemote. Below is the image of a CoC report template already created in LSM add-on.

2. View report using the token

  • LSMRemote generates automatically a token for each sample registered in the Job.
  • This token can be further used by clients or patients, to access their report directly online.
  • 1. Activating the token option

    • To use this token, you need to first activate the “Token_access” option using the config.ini file.
*Please read our KB on how to configure token options in LSMRemote-point 32.
    • Once you activate this option, the login page of your LSMRemote will look like below.
  • A. Here the requesters can login to submit orders (tests/Jobs) for LSM add-on.
Please read our KB to see how to register and login into LSMRemote.
  • B. This option will be available after activating the “Token_access” option using the config.ini file.
  • The patient or any client can use the token number to access the report here.
  • 2. Adding other security options other than token number

  • You can add other security detail apart from the token option, like Name of the patient/client, etc.
*Please read our KB on how to configure security options in LSMRemote-point 33.
  • The above image will be seen on the same login page of the LSMRemote.
  • 3. Separating the Customers & Report direct access login page

    • If you want to separate the login options A & B then you can use a dedicated login ID for each of them.
    • LabCollector allows you to do so. All you have to do is add either login=1 or login=2 at the end of your LSMRemote URL.
  • 4. Different report options

    • When you access the report by adding the token number; three things can happen.
    • 1. If your report is ready it will show a pdf button where you can download your result file.
    • 2. if your report is not ready it will show you the respective message.
    • 3. If you have entered a wrong token number then it will show that the token doesn’t exist.
